Throw sh*t Away, the right way!
shipping mailer
A plant derived shipping mailer that is waterproof, durable, and which when you’re done using, can be put in with your food scraps and garden waste. This bag will degrade quickly when placed in the right environment such as home or industrial composts, is non toxic, and won’t break into micro plastics. While this mailer is biodegradable, it will not degrade within an acceptable time frame if thrown out improperly or littered about in nature. It is also not recyclable in plastic recycling!

*which bin should I be thrown in?
Throw our mailers and any stickers or labels on them into the organic bin. This is generally the bin where you put food scraps.
*Verify with the community that you reside in as to which type of trash disposal they have available, and how to properly dispose of this type of material.
I’m made of: 20% PLA+ 70% PBAT+ 10% Corn Starch.
While our shipping mailers might look like plastic and feel like plastic they aren’t actually made from traditional plastic, but are created from plants into PLA, Cornstarch and uses a copolymer PBAT.
PLA is typically made from fermented plant starch such as from corn, cassava, sugarcane or sugar beet pulp.
PBAT is partly derived from petrochemicals engineered to be fully biodegradable when composted. Interestingly, it is PBAT that is added to make the product degrade quickly enough to meet the home compostability criteria.
Corn Starch usually sourced from corn that can’t be used for food consumption.
This combination of materials represents a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional plastics, is non-toxic and contains no Phthalate or Bisphenol A (BPA).
